Residential Appraisal Licensing & Certification Courses are offered by the Rhode Island Association of REALTORS® and are listed below. These comprehensive, well-designed courses have been developed by the Association in order to qualify for the appraisal education licensing & certification. Some courses are also approved for Continuing Education for Real Estate

1 & 2: |
Basic Appraisal Principles I & II - 15 Hours each |
These introductory appraisal courses provide an overview of real property concepts and characteristics, legal considerations, value influences, real estate finance, types of value, economic principles, real estate markets and analysis, and ethics in appraisal practice. Thorough discussion of appraisal principles, accompanied by practical examples, provides a solid foundation in appraisal basics. A calculator is recommended.
