Thorough discussion of appraisal principles, accompanied by practical examples, provides a solid foundation in appraisal basics. A calculator is recommended.

This introductory appraisal course further provides an understanding and knowledge of real property concepts and appraisal procedures on real property. The course will also instruct students on the various approaches of assessing value on real property.

This course provides an understanding of market fundamentals, characteristics, and definitions, supply analysis, demand analysis, use of market analysis, test constraints, application of highest and best use, special considerations, market analysis, and case studies to further explain the terms.

This course covers methods, concepts and definitions, replacement/Reproduction cost new, accrued depreciation, methods of estimating accrued depreciation and case studies to solidify the students’ learning.

Topics covered include valuation principles and procedures – sales comparison approach, valuation principles and procedures – income approach, finance and cash equivalency, financial calculator introduction, identification, derivation and measurement of adjustments, gross rent multipliers, partial interests, reconciliation, case studies and applications.

Topics include writing and reasoning skills, common writing problems, form reports, report options and USPAP compliance, and case studies.
