Late Fees and License Renewal

Renewal was April 30, 2012. The Rhode Island License Law has consequences for not renewing on time.

For your information: Anyone who did not renew their Rhode Island Real Estate License by the deadline of April 30, 2012, will be able to renew by April 30, 2013 however the following apply:

Chapter 5-20-11, Section 8: "For each Broker's license reinstated after its expiration date, a late fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) will be charged in addition to the renewal fee."

Chapter 5-20-11, Section 9: "For each Salesperson's license reinstated after its expiration date, a late fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) will be charged in addition to the renewal fee." Please take note of the above.
