The Rhode Island Association of REALTORS now offers 4 State designations
The Rhode Island Green Awareness Program, Rental Agent Designation, Property Management Designation and H.O.P.E. (Home Ownership Partnership Education) Designation. These are courses that are offered on an ongoing basis. All courses have been approved for Continuing Education credits.
The Rhode Island Green Awareness Program focuses on what makes a home "green" by today's standards. This helps with the buying and selling of properties offered as such and explains the materials used in such houses.
The Rental Agent Designation courses offer a complete package of all that is necessary to be a well-informed rental agent. The legalities and practicalities are all covered in the three courses that lead to the desingation.
The Property Management Designation requires the Rental Agent Designation courses and the additional Property Management course. This program will lead to a future in property management and coveres what basics are necessary for a person in property management to be successful. Both designations require courses in Agency 101, Lead Paint and Fair Housing.
The H.O.P.E. Designation is offered by RIAR in conjunction with housing advocates from several outstanding housing advocate groups throughout the state. The courses give instruction on the many housing issues facing the workforce housing people in Rhode Island and offers incredible statistics on the housing crisis in Rhode Island. Please check the Education Calendar for upcoming dates for all courses.
