DBR Changes Procedure & Requirements For Applying for Salesperson License
1/6/2009
Effective January 1, 2009 has changed the procedure and requirements for obtaining a real estate license in Rhode Island. Real Estate Sales applicants will now be required to take the Rhode Island Real Estate Salesperson's examination from Pearson VUE (www.pearsonvue.com) BEFORE filing an application with the Department. Upon successful completion of the Salesperson's examination, applicants will need to submit the license application, along with the required documentation and fees, to the Department of Business Regulation.

The new requirements and application are posted on the Department of Business Regulation web site. A revised handbook will be available, when completed, on the Pearson VUE web site at: www.pearsonvue.com

Contact the Department of Business Regulation wt 401-462-9506 with any questions.
