Continuing Education - Overview

The Rhode Island Association of REALTORS® offers a wide variety of classes designed to provide Continuing Education Credits and to increase the knowledge of its members. The courses are frequently upgraded to reflect the current trends and practices in the real estate profession.

Courses will provide 3, 6 or more hours of continuing education credits. These credits may be used for the purpose of license renewal or taken as courses to further enhance knowledge of specific topics. Classes are offered at 100 Bignall Street and can be found on the RIAR education calendar. Register online and save $10!!

Classes are held during the hours of 9-12, 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. The course calendar of available classes is updated daily. Topics range from Finance to Insurance, Customer Service to Mold Education, Radon to Historic Architecture. New classes are offered frequently.

Cancellation Policy for RIAR Continuing Education Classes

The following policy will be in effect for all Continuing Education classes:

• Complete refund if cancellation is done 3 days PRIOR to date of class.
• A 50% refund if cancellations is done WITHIN 3 days prior to the date of class
• NO refund if person is a "no show" for the class. If anyone is absent due to a serious situation beyond their control, a medical note or other official documentation must be presented to have any refund considered.

Transcript fees

Effective February 1, 2009, the cost for a transcript will be $15.00. The cost for a copy of a certificate will be $5.00. Duplicate copies will be stamped, "COPY". Please keep these fees in mind in order to minimize your costs. These fees are necessary to help defray the administrative costs for these services.
